Yesterday, Apple gave its keynote address at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. As expected, Apple’s address introduced several changes to its hardware and software lineup. Here are the highlights from the announcements Apple made yesterday.
For Personal Tech Media, this is Two Minute Tech. I’m Jim Herman.
The most discussed announcement was the Apple Vision Pro headset. This device mixes augmented reality and virtual reality into a single device. The user controls the entire device through eye movements and hand gestures that are recorded by its array of cameras. And for those who value comfort, Apple claims the headband is highly adjustable so it’s comfortable for everyone. However, the device won’t be comfortable on your wallet. Purchasing one will set you back $3500.
Apple kicked off the address by introducing the 15-inch MacBook Air. Apple calls it the best and most powerful 15-inch laptop. The new MacBook starts at $1300.
Apple also updated the Mac Studio and Mac Pro with the M2 line of chips. The Mac Studio starts at $2000 and the Mac Pro starts at $7000.
Finally, Apple announced that AirPods will use the Adaptive Audio feature, which adjusts the noise reduction to suit your environment. This feature can lower music when people are talking to you or increase the noise reduction as the noise around you rises.
There were also several software announcements that Apple made yesterday, and we will cover those in tomorrow’s episode.
