If you had a Facebook account between May 2007 and December 2022, you could claim some money from a class action lawsuit. Meta has agreed to settle a lawsuit, claiming it shared information without authorization. However, you must act today to get your share of the settlement.

To file a claim for a small portion of the $725 million, you must fill out a claim form and submit it by mail or online. Regardless of the method you choose, you’ll need to visit facebookuserprivacysettlement.com to start the online process or download a claim form.
You will need your address, your phone number, and any Facebook usernames you may have used. To find your current username, go to your profile page. Your username will appear in the address bar immediately following facebook.com. If you’ve had multiple Facebook accounts, you’ll need a username for each account during the period covered by the lawsuit. Payment will be made through Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, prepaid MasterCard, or a physical check.
The settlement amount you receive will be split based on the time you’ve had an active Facebook account. If you set up your account after May 2007, deleted your account before December 2022, or you deleted an account and then later set up a new one, you will receive less than someone who had an active account for that entire period.
A court hearing to approve the settlement is currently set for September 7. Payments will be issued soon after the settlement is approved.
