Amazon’s product announcements weren’t the only tech announcements this week. Yesterday, Microsoft held a private event for media to show off its new hardware and AI features. Here’s the recap of the newest products coming from Microsoft.
For Personal Tech Media, this is Two Minute Tech. I’m Jim Herman.
Much of Microsoft’s event focused on its developments in AI. Microsoft’s Copilot will begin rolling out to Windows 11 devices next week. It will integrate into all Microsoft services to help summarize information and anticipate your workflow.
Bing Chat will get two major upgrades. First, the personalized answers feature will use your search history to provide context for its answers. The Bing image creator will integrate with the DALL-E 3 generator. Microsoft says this will help users get better and more reliable image generations.
On the hardware side, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Go 3. It will come with an integration for iCloud photos, allowing users to sync images and videos from Apple devices.
The Surface Laptop Studio 2 claims to be twice as fast as its predecessor. It can come with as much as 64 gigabytes of RAM and 2 terabytes of storage.
And finally, the Surface Hub 3 updates the company’s business collaboration line. AI is integrated into the device and the Cloud Intelliframe can create a smart video feed of everyone in a team’s meeting.
