We’re taught to share from a young age, but when we grow up and get out in the world, we often don’t think about sharing as much as we should. However, if you have an Amazon Prime membership or you’re considering purchasing one, you might be able to save some money by sharing that membership.
For Personal Tech Media, this is Two Minute Tech. I’m Jim Herman.
Most people get Prime for the free shipping and don’t realize there are other benefits available. According to RealGood, Prime Video has more movies than any other streaming service and it’s fourth in the number of TV shows. You also get over two million songs ad free with Prime Music.
However, along with all the benefits you get for the $15 a month or $140 a year price, you can also share many of those benefits with a second account. You can share free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Reading and more. Discounts granted to Prime accounts are also available to the shared accounts. However, do be aware that payment methods added by one account will also be available on the shared accounts.
In addition to sharing a full account with someone else, you can also add up to four teens to your account. Each teen account will have a separate login and an adult must approve each purchase on the plan.
Finally, you can also add up to four child profiles which allows you to control the content they see and set time limits for use. You can manage the other people on your account by going to amazon.com/myh. From there, scroll to the bottom to select add adult, add a teen or add a child.
