Our phones connect us to the world. It’s not uncommon for most of our Internet use to happen through these small pocket devices. But when your phone’s internet is slow, it can be very frustrating. Here’s how you can identify the problem of slow mobile internet and solve it.

The first step to solving your internet problem is to identify when your internet is slow. Your phone may not be the problem. So if you only experience slow internet at home or when you’re on mobile data, that’s important to know. If you’re unsure, you can wait until you’re home and then switch the Wi-Fi on and off to see if there’s a difference in speed.

If your signal is slow at home, check your router. Sometimes, other devices can interfere with having a good signal. If your signal is initially slow but then gets better over time, check for podcasts or videos that are set to download when you’re on Wi-Fi.

If your signal is only slow on mobile data, check your connection strength and network type. You could be in a poor location or one with interference. Your network provider could also be throttling your connection. You could also look on your phone for a list of which apps are using the most data and try disabling those.

And finally, if your internet is slow on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, check how much storage space you have on the device. If your storage is full, it can slow down your phone. You also want to see how much data your browser has stored. If your browser has a lot of data cached, it can slow down your devices.
